Halloween Breakfast + Snack Ideas

Halloween is quickly approaching and if you’re anything like me - you love a good theme! Especially with little ones, holidays are a great excuse to create some fun themed events. One thing I love to do for my kids each year is a Halloween themed breakfast! And since Halloween falls on a weekend, it makes it easier for prep and execution. WIN!

If you love a good theme as much as me, check out these cute ideas below that your family will love!

Banana Ghosts and Clementine Pumpkins

I am ALL FOR easy. And these fit the bill!

For the bananas, just slice them in half and pop 3 chocolate chips (or raisins!) on for the eyes and mouth. Boo! Done.

And for the clementines, just peel them and stick a small celery stick (or cucumber!) in the top and voila! Adorable little pumpkins.

Frankenstein Avocado Toast

Ingredients:

  • Slices of bread (whatever kind you like)

  • Ripe Avocados

  • Black Olives

  • Red Pepper

  • Radishes

Directions:

  • Just mash your ripe avocado in a bowl - I like to add a little salt to mine!

  • Spread avocado on slices of bread

  • Top avocado with radish slices (for eye balls), red pepper (for mouth) and black olives (hair, eyes and stitches)

Spiderweb Pancakes

For these festive pancakes, you’ll need a squirt bottle to fill with batter! Turn on your griddle and mix up your favorite pancake mix as directed then fill your bottle full of batter. I recommend cutting the tip a bit so it’s not a super skinny stream of batter.

When your griddle is hot, start in the center and work your way outwards making the “spokes” of the web first. Finish up connecting all the “spokes” around the middles then the outside.

Finish off your pancakes with blackberries on top, or plastic spiders!

Monster Cereal Topper

This can work on top of any cereal or oatmeal, really. Just grab a half of banana, slice off a small “eye” then cut in half length-wise and arrange the horns and cyclops eye. Grab some marshmallows (or you could use coconut flakes, raisins or blueberries) and arrange the mouth. Top with a blueberry for the eye and you have a frightningly cute Halloween breakfast!
