Revelations from the Valley

“Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling. Come away with me!

I have come as you have asked to draw you near to my heart and lead you out.

For now is the time, my beautiful one. The season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone.”

Song of Songs 2: 10-11

Revelations from the valley

The enemy wants us to forget how loved we are. Read that again.

If we forget we are loved, beloved, righteous, and redeemed- he (Satan) has us right where he wants us.

Weak.

Ineffective.

Victimized.

Lifeless.

Bitter.

Angry.

Self-centered.

The father of lies wants us to believe that God has forgotten us, God doesn’t love us, and God doesn’t hear or see our pain. He wants to isolate us from the Love of all Loves. The only Love that can truly bring us out of the pit.

The enemy screams lies of unworthiness. He peddles shame and whispers in our ears, “God‘s disappointed in you.”

God calls you His radiant one. (Song of Solomon 1:8)

The enemy says, “you are alone.”

God says he will never leave us or forsake us and that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.

The enemy says God has forgotten you.

God says he will leave the 99 sheep to go after the one. (Matt 18:10-14)

God says, “my thoughts about you outnumber the grains of sand on the shores” (Psalm 139:17 - 18)

The enemy tries to cover us in shame.

God says there is no condemnation for us because of Jesus Christ.

What Jesus does is this …

He takes our CHAOS and turns it into BEAUTY.

I don’t know what your chaos is made out of, but I do know He can handle it.

I am living, walking, breathing proof of that.

If He can redeem the mess in me, He can redeem the mess in you and anyone.

Surrender to him.

Ask Him questions.

Talk to Him.

Listen to His Voice.

He’s worth it. He’s worth all of the pain and turmoil, and heartache. He’s more than worth it. He’s better than you can imagine.

Don’t let the enemy rob you of one more day in His presence!

And if you are in a season of questioning His love, I encourage you to read Song of Solomon in the Passion Translation. (this is the hard copy I use daily) and go listen to Brian Simmons teaching on it! There are lots of videos on youtube. I just bought this book to use as I study this amazingly beautiful story of God’s love for us!

Hang in there and know YOU ARE LOVED!!!

xoxo - Abby
